• All entrants must exhibit this year’s 4-H Calf Club Project. This will be checked for verification. No substitutes.

• SHOW HARNESS REQUIRED

• Prize Money: All exhibitors will receive $20 at the ringside

• Animals exhibiting signs of ringworm, warts, or other diseases will not be permitted to participate.

IMPORTANT TO CATTLE EXHIBITORS:

1. ENTRY DEADLINE: All cattle entries must be entered by August 1st, 2025.
2. EXHIBITOR FEE: No exhibitor fee will be charged, and no exhibitor passes will be given out. Exhibitors and helpers will be required to pay admission at the gate.
3. INSURANCE: Proof of at least $2M LIABILITY INSURANCE must accompany each entry form for the animals being shown.
4. ANIMAL REGISTRATION: All exhibits must be registered in the name of the exhibitor in accordance with the bylaws of their respective associations. Registration papers must be available for checking by Ring Clerks and Breed Fieldsmen prior to the show. All cattle must be tagged with the nationally accepted identification tags before they are permitted to enter the grounds. PREMISE ID: ON4225355
5. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Any animal suffering from Pink Eye or Ring Worm will not be admitted to the grounds, or if admitted through oversight, on discovery of same, shall forthwith be removed.
6. The following supports good animal husbandry practices at shows, while presenting a positive image to spectators. All exhibitors and their fitters, agents, or other representatives agree to abide by the following rules and regulations.

The following practices or procedures are unacceptable in the show ring or registered dairy cattle:

• Misrepresenting the age or ownership of an animal

• Filling an animal’s rumen unnaturally with liquid (tubing)

• Administering epidural anaesthesia (blocking tails) and/or applying any irritant either externally or internally to the perineal (rectum and vagina) area

• Inserting foreign material/articles under the skin, into the topline (including hair not attached to its own hair follicle) or on the feet (administration of acceptable medications, and false switches and tails is permitted)

• Performing surgery of any kind to change the natural contour of the appearance of the animal’s body, hide or hair. Not included is the removal of warts, teats and horns, clipping and dressing of hair and trimming of hooves

NOTE FOR EXHIBITORS:

• All purebred, full-blood, registered animals, whether owned by one person or by more than one person are considered to be the production of the farm or breeding unit.

• All entries must be owned by and registered in the name of the exhibitor. All animals, including natural, purebred calves, must be tattooed distinctly before exhibition. The tattoo must be clearly legible.

• Each breed listed will be shown separately if they have at least Twenty (20) animals per breed entered by August 1^st.

RULES:

1. All rules and regulations are governed by the Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society.
2. Directors will settle all disputes.
3. Any person under the age of 18 years, must always wear a CSA-approved riding helmet while mounted on the Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society fairgrounds (no bicycle or hockey helmets).
4. Rather than charge an exhibitor fee, all riders and helpers must pay entry at the gate. No exhibitor passes will be handed out.
5. There will be no refund of arena/timer fees or entry fees.
6. A rider/handler’s age is considered as of January 1^st of the current year.
7. Only two horses per rider per class.
8. A horse/rider combination may only enter in one age category.
9. Neither the Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society of the Need-4-Speed Show committee are responsible for loss, injury or damage to animals, equipment and persons, exhibitors, or spectators.
10. Exhibitors must wear appropriate attire. For gaming classes this includes a collared, button-down shirt, cowboy hay or helmet, and boots.
11. In the Flag class, the flag barrel must remain standing in order for the participant to receive a time. The participant also may not cross the flag over the horse in order to put it in; the flag must be replaced from the opposite side of the barrel from which it was removed.
12. There will be no running starts for Gaming events. Cannot start to run until the horse’s body is fully in the chute.
13. Loss of a hat at any time during a gaming run (including before and after the timer) will result in a one (1) second penalty.
14. A knockdown in a games event will result in a five (5) second penalty per barrel or pole.
15. All exhibitors must show proof of $1 million liability insurance.
