How would you like an opportunity to serve your community, win great prizes and have lots of fun? Come join the Campbellford Fair Ambassador Program. As the Campbellford Fair Ambassador, you will represent the Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society during the Fair and at community events throughout the year. The Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society has a proud tradition of involving young people in our organization. The Ambassador Program is a great opportunity for youth to build leadership skills, serve their community, get involved and build lasting relationships.  All ambassador contestants will receive prizes with the top contestant receiving a $1000 scholarship along with many other great prizes!

Important 2026 Competition Dates-

  • Application Deadline: July 11th
  • Interview Night: Last week in July Contestants will be contacted in advance to confirm interview times.
  • Ambassador Crowning- Friday August 7th– During the opening ceremonies of the Fair

Qualifications, Rules and General Guidelines

  1. The program is open to youth who are 17 -23 years of age. Contestants must live within Northumberland County. Previous Ambassadors who represented any Ontario Fair at the CNE Ambassador of the Fair Competition are not eligible, but previous contestants are welcome to enter again.
  2. Contestants must be available to carry out duties for the 3 days of the Campbellford Fair (August 8th-10th) and for the 12-month period following the Fair.
  3. The ambassador interviews will be held mid to late July. Contestants will be contact in advance to confirm interview times.
  4. The contestants will complete an interview, a 3-5-minute speech (relating to the fair, community, etc.) and prepare a short “About Me” video or slideshow.
  5. In the event the Ambassador cannot complete their year the 1st runner up will carry out his/her duties.
  6. The Ambassador or Runner-up, while on duty, is expected to be attired appropriately. Business casual attire is acceptable. Only while on duty should the Ambassador and/or Runner-up wear their sash.
  7. The selected Fair Ambassador will be expected to represent Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society throughout the year at various community events some of which include Fair Weekend, Christmas Parade, Annual Meeting, Homecraft Banquet, OAAS Convention and the CNE Fair Ambassador Competition in 2027.
